3 Ways to Stay Hydrated this Summer

Summer is here and although our beautiful city by the bay isn't the most swimsuit friendly place, we San Franciscans still know how to enjoy the summer.  We enjoy sunny days at Dolores Park, taking side trips down the coast or planning a vacation to a place where we can actually work on our tan. Regardless of your summer plans, it's important to remember  to keep healthy and hydrated this summer.  Here our a few easy tips to jumpstart a healthy summer.

1) Munch on Fruits and Vegetables
Many fruits and vegetables are water rich and can help in rehydrating your body.  Some of our favorite picks are cucumber (96% water content), watermelon (92% water content), and grapefruit (91% water content).

2) Ditch the Caffeine
Caffeine like coffee, black tea, and soda can severly dehydrate your body.  Instead sip on herbal tea, and sparkling water.

3) Sip on Coconut Water
Coconut water is great for hydration and contains tons of electrolytes to keep your body in blanace. We love it so much, we just had to add it to some of our tastiest smoothies.
